A Robot Named Fight! is a rogue-lite sidescroller that is inspired by Super Metroid. You play as a robot that has to defeat the final boss by going through a procedually generated map, collect weapons and gadget, which in turn allow you to access previously not accessable areas like a double jump, a dash, elemental weapons or other means to survive certain enviormental hazards.
Pros:
– each time a different experience
– Super Nintendo vibes
– tons of upgrades and gadgets
– obscure vendor system
– hidden gem
– get it on a Steam sale (1 dollar, nice!)
Bad:
– clunky/sluggish movement
– not always easy or fair to win a run
– not all weapons/gadets are really useful
tldr: A very good old school forever playable Super Metroid
Score: 7/10
