This is the 27th video in a series on remaking Hotline Miami in GameMaker Studio.

The video tutorial shows you how to quickly setup the inbuild mp grid pathfinding system that can be used for the enemy’s ai movement. Here we finish the state machine by adding two more states. One that I call “nothing here” where the ai arrives at the target spot and waites a bit there. After that the ai goes in the the “go back” state to return to the start point. On arriving the ai swapped back to the “idle” state to complete this state machine routine.
