Fury Unleashed Review: Comix Zone meets Metal Slug
This game was made by the polish indie developer Awesome Games Studio und will be released on multiple platforms in May 8th after 5 years of developement.
So is this a good game or not?
I for my part really enjoyed the experience and played it through, which is in an age of abundance not normal. The graphics are very polished and good looking, combat feels fast, snappy and fluid. Players that enjoy the combo system will be rewarded for fast and ruthless play, methodical/tactical players not so much. So here it comes to personal preference. The game didn’t feel unfair, even if those invisible enemies spawned into you. I was a bit disapointed with the upgrades and the weapons, which seem to be a lot. The developer clearly went the save route here. So if you are expecting exotic Risk of Rain upgrades/weapons, well you will find none here.
Disclaimer: I requested the key for this game, which I got. I didn’t get any money, sponsorship or any other affiliation with the developer/publisher here.
So here the tldr. – Very polished side scroller rouge lite game with a comic vibe. It has a combo system with very fluid but hectic gameplay. Graphics are a feast for the eyes!
