Hey guys, this is an informal video to ask your opinion.

I had the idea to make a comic series on how to becoming a indie developer from start to finish and make a kickstarter to fund it. It would be a ligher weight medium covering useful topic that are normall done in long blog posts, essays or even books. I want this to be easy and ultra accessable.

This series would have:

Basics:
– basics on what is a (indie) dev and what roles/opportunities exist
– which game engines/tools to pick, what are the pros and cons
– where to get resources and how meet people that share you dream
– a wiki for most relevant terms in the industry

Game in production
– what to look out for
– visual effects
– game design

Advanced topics
– marketing, how and where to sell you game
– export your game to each platform and what you need to know

And maybe, but I would put it into a troll ultra high stretch goal, a manual in comic form for GameMaker which would be very very big indeed.

So here is where YOU come in, would that be a good thing? Any idea what to cover, (besides coding because that would make it very fast not fun), what stretch goals you would like it see. What languages to cover, etc. . Please note that this is not a “cool idea do it” thing, but that would mean you or others would potentially back this comic series on Kickstarter and spread the word to others to make this a reality. Be honest and share your thoughs.
