This advanced video tutorial shows you how to make a hookshot that pulls things towards the player in gamemaker studio.

How can this be done?
The idea behind is quite simple. You have a player that can shoot out one kunai that on impact with another object gets stuck there. Now the player can pull the other object with the kunai towards him. To achieve this you need to understand the basic principles of how to get points on a line in gamemaker aswell as the inbuild object variables like speed and direction.
